Living with chronic pain can affect far more than your body. When discomfort becomes part of everyday life, it can change your energy, sleep, relationships, work, and ability to participate in the things that matter to you. You may find yourself frustrated by limitations, worried about the future, or grieving the life you had before pain became part of it.
Chronic pain can also be difficult for others to understand. When there isn't an obvious outward sign of what you're experiencing, you may feel misunderstood, isolated, or pressured to simply push through.
Therapy can provide a space to explore the emotional and psychological impact of living with ongoing pain while developing ways to respond to stress, frustration, and the changes pain can bring. We can work toward greater self-awareness, improved coping, and reconnecting with the parts of life that remain meaningful to you.
The goal isn't to tell you that your pain is “all in your head.” Your pain is real. Therapy can help you navigate the many ways chronic pain affects your life while supporting a greater sense of control, connection, and quality of life.
